While speaking about the film, Kajol said, “What hit me the most was that I wanted to do the movie because of Maa Kali. I love her and she is Maa in my head, and I always felt like her hand is on my head. She is always behind me and that was one of the reasons why I adored the script and of course the script was excellent. When we first heard the script, we were sure it was going to be a fantastic film."

R Madhavan also opened up about how some scenes in Shaitaan genuinely scared him while filming. His chilling performance not only stole the spotlight but also left the audience with sleepless nights and a lingering fear.

Recalling a particularly disturbing scene, Maddy shared, “The scene where I make the daughter dance the entire night and she cannot hold her bladder anymore and pees. So, as a villain, if I see it, the entire messaging changes, so I had to think what can I do differently and change the feeling into disgust. So, I covered my face with a sheet so that I did not have to see it. So, there were certain scenes that made me uncomfortable, but I did find my way out of it.”

Kajol and R Madhavan also spoke about their shared connection with Ajay Devgn, agreeing that when he is involved, the entertainment is unmatched. Both praised his professionalism and the powerful presence he brings to every project.

Maa is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande, with Kumar Mangat Pathak as the co-producer. The film is all set to hit theatres on 27 June.
