The cinematic landscape of superhero films has undergone a substantial shift since the early 2000s and at the forefront of this evolution stands Marvel Studios. And the upcoming MCU film, The Fantastic Four has created quite the buzz. For Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, the return of Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm was more than just a comic-book plotline. It was a deeply personal and creative opportunity.

He says , "They are Marvel’s First Family, and I really wanted to do them justice.” Feige's history with the Fantastic Four stretches back to the early 2000s, having produced Tim Story’s films. He acknowledges the constraints and prevailing attitudes of that era. “There was still a bit of fear of being silly,” he says of those films.
Feige is ready to unleash the full spectrum of their appeal, from their '60s retro-future aesthetic and groovy cosmic vibes to, crucially, a comic-accurate portrayal of their most formidable foe, Galactus. The days of rendering Galactus as a mere cosmic cloud are over. “In another time, some might consider the notion of somebody with a big, angular helmet walking through a city goofy,” Feige says, challenging past perceptions. “I consider it awesome.”

The Fantastic Four's long-awaited and rightful entry into the MCU promises a vibrant, authentic, and undeniably ‘fantastic’ new chapter for Marvel's First Family.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal. Directed by Matt Shakman, the film is produced by Kevin Feige and executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis and Tim Lewis.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps featuring Marvel's First Family in action is all set to release on July 25, 2025, in India in English, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.
